The Pros of Using a Guide vs renting equipment

If you are not confident that you fully understand different types of kayaks, paddleboards, equipment to safely paddle on a large body of water, a guided tour may be your best option. Wind and waves are a guarantee on lakes in Montana, Flathead Lake can be especially volatile. Wind can come up very quickly and flat, mirror-like water conditions can become one to three foot or larger in the matter of minutes. At Sea Me Paddle, we always check lake wind advisories and wind conditions before launching any tour. We have all of the proper water safety gear to keep all of our guest safe, warm and dry. We also have guides trained to assist in kayak reentry in the unlikely event that a guest overturns their kayak on a tour.In addition, our guides are familiar with the area and love to share their knowledge about history, wildlife, fauna, lake facts and other local events in the area.
